International Day of Police Cooperation: Maldives Police Service Reaffirms Commitment to Global Security

07 Sep

On the occasion of the International Day of Police Cooperation, we extend our congratulations to INTERPOL and colleagues across the globe for their successful collaborative endeavours in creating a safer world.

This year’s theme, “ICT and AI in Policing,” powerfully reflects both the emerging challenges and opportunities in delivering professional, forward-looking service to the public.

As criminal dynamics continue to evolve rapidly, one of the biggest challenges for law enforcement is the exploitation of anonymity by cyber criminals on the internet. Online crimes range from identity theft, ransomware, human trafficking, and organized scam centres.

The support we receive from INTERPOL to address these crimes is vital in our fight against them. Today, the Maldives continues to break new ground by advancing its ICT infrastructure and integrating artificial intelligence into everyday policing, ensuring a safer, more secure future for all.

The Maldives takes pride in its active role within INTERPOL and the international law enforcement community in working to achieve our common goals.

In this spirit, we reaffirm our commitment to this vital strategy and look forward to deepening collaboration for a safer, more secure world.
