Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen met with His Excellency Kong Xianhua, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Maldives, and a high-level delegation from the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) of China on October 29 at the Maldives Police Service Headquarters in Malé. 

The meeting was attended by members of the SPP delegation, the Chinese Ambassador, and officials from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Maldives. 

Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Maldives Police Service and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate. The Maldives Police Service proposed conducting joint training programs and identified potential areas for collaboration, including transnational organized crime, cybercrime, cryptocurrency investigations, and the use of artificial intelligence in law enforcement.

Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen expressed appreciation to the Supreme People’s Procuratorate for the valuable discussions and thanked the delegation for their visit and continued cooperation.
