Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen met today with the newly appointed High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Md. Nazmul Islam.

During the courtesy call, discussions focused on further strengthening cooperation between the Maldives Police Service and the Bangladesh Police.

Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening professional collaboration, particularly through training in specialized and operational areas of the MPS, as well as sharing expertise and exchanging officers between the two law enforcement agencies.

The Commissioner expressed appreciation for the long-standing relationship between the two nations’ law enforcement agencies and reaffirmed the Maldives Police Service’s commitment to expanding joint initiatives that support policing excellence and national security.

The meeting concluded with mutual agreement to explore additional avenues of cooperation in the near future.
