
The closing ceremony of the “Home Team Advanced Leadership Programme 2,” jointly conducted by the Ministry of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology and the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement (NCPLE), was held today.
The ceremony, held at the Iskandhar Building, was officiated by the Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology, Ali Ihusan. Also in attendance were the Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mohamed Ameen, Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikry, and senior officials from agencies within the Home Team sector.

The programme was designed to strengthen the strategic, operational, and ethical leadership capabilities of senior officials serving under the Ministry of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology. Participants included officers and staff from the Maldives Police Service, Maldives Correctional Service, Maldives Customs Service, Maldives Immigration, and the National Drug Agency.
A total of 24 participants took part in the programme, which included scenario-based exercises and work-related assignments. Key focus areas covered during the programme included strategic leadership, governance, crisis management, cyber security, and inter-agency collaboration.

In addition, sessions were conducted on strengthening institutional management, collaborative practices, and enhancing regional and international cooperation necessary to ensure public safety and security.
As part of the programme, a digital forum was also conducted with the support of National Digital Services.
The programme aimed to develop leadership skills aligned with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology, while enhancing ethical decision-making, crisis response, digital transformation, adaptability to change, talent development, and stakeholder engagement to build high-performing teams.
The programme was conducted from April 26 to May 15 at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement campus in Addu City.
