The Maldives Police Service has held a recognition ceremony to honour officers who played significant roles in the investigation of major criminal cases over the past five years.
The ceremony was held today at Iskandhar Building and was attended by Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikry, and members of the Police Executive.
The event was organised to acknowledge and recognise police officers who contributed directly to the successful investigation and conclusion of major criminal cases, as well as officers who provided various forms of support to those investigations. Officers were presented with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their dedication and service.
A total of 117 officers received certificates during the ceremony. The recipients were officers who had been involved in major investigations conducted by departments under the Central Inves
tigation Command over the past five years. The group included officers who have since been transferred to and are currently serving in other departments of the Maldives Police Service.
Addressing at the ceremony, Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed commended the officers for their professionalism, dedication, and perseverance in advancing complex investigations. He highlighted the importance of teamwork and close attention to detail in ensuring successful investigative outcomes.
The Commissioner noted that investigation officers play a vital role in upholding justice, ensuring public safety, and strengthening public confidence in policing. He further emphasised that the commitment and professionalism demonstrated by officers are essential to maintaining the trust placed in the Maldives Police Service by the community.
Commissioner Ahmed Mohamed also described the ceremony as an important initiative aimed at recognising the contributions of police officers engaged in criminal investigations and law enforcement duties. While this recognition focused on the work carried out within the Central Investigation Command, he noted that efforts would continue in the future to recognise officers across other areas of the organisation whose service and achievements merit acknowledgement.
During the ceremony, representatives of the Central Investigation Command expressed their appreciation to the Commissioner for taking the time to attend the event and personally recognise the contributions of investigation officers. They also thanked him for his continued guidance and leadership on behalf of all personnel serving within the Command.
